At the end of 1997, Tres Dotson, president and founder, left his job as a Nextel account executive to launch Max Communications, a Nextel dealership located in Central Alabama. Within the first month of operation Corey Dotson, vice-president, joined this start-up cellular business and the brothers got to work. Their mission was simple and still remains their focus--Max Communications is about creating value in the customer experience and consistantly exceeding clients expectations.
In October of 1998, Max Communications opened its first retail store in Pelham, Alabama. Max Communications continued to grow, and we now have 3 stores in Pelham, Trussville, and homewood.
Max Communications also has Three Authorized Service Center locations in Pelham, Trussville, and Homewwood to offer the best support possible for all Sprint Nextel customers in these areas.
Max Communications, now headquartered in Homewood, Alabama, has become one of the largest Sprint Authorized Representatives with three locations and approximately twenty employees throughout Alabama. As the business continues to expand, 2008 looks to be a promising year for Sprint and Max Communications with the launch of Sprints new High Performance Push to talk. Also in 2009 a new product called XOAM will bring you wireless Broadband speeds unlike anyone in the greater birmingham area.
